For the past 100 years Ribarska Koliba has been an important feature of Istrian social and cultural life. It was an elite dining destination for Austrian military officers during the First World War, and it has hosted world leaders such as Yugoslav President Josip Broz Tito and Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser.

The founder of the resort is an entrepreneur who fell in love with the idyllic Croatian landscapes and made his second home among the pine forests and crystal-clear waters of Istria. His ambition was to make Ribarska Koliba the premier resort in Pula — one that operates all year round, giving back to the local community through numerous stable jobs.
Corporate social responsibility remains a vital part of our work: we support disabled people and members of disadvantaged communities, we have raised money for breast cancer research and for blind people, and we have backed children’s charities and local poverty relief.
Our food is mainly sourced from local producers, including Istrian farmers and fishermen. This guarantees that our meals are always fresh and of the highest quality.
